Voice identity verification is the measurement (voiceprint) of several components of an individual’s voice, such as pitch and tone. It is used to positively verify the identity of an individual.

Voice identity verification is conceptually similar to fingerprinting, and no two voiceprints are exactly the same. Individuals’ identities are verified by comparing a new voiceprint with a base voiceprint. If the voiceprints match, the individual is positively identified.
