01.25.2008 ACLD Selects VoxLock to Enhance Data Security and HIPAA Compliance
Long Beach, NY (January 25, 2008) – VoxLock Technologies, Inc., a leader in innovative voice identity verification security services, announced today that Adult and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities, Inc. (ACLD) has selected VoxLock to enhance data security, and to contribute to HIPAA compliance requirements.
ACLD, a leading, New York provider of programs and services to over 3,000 children, teens and adults with developmental disabilities, will deploy VoxLock as the second factor of authentication for its consumer information system. In the course of providing health and support services for their consumers, ACLD captures personal information; this information needs to be secured and protected for regulatory and privacy concerns. The VoxLock solution positively verifies an individual’s identity by matching a sample voiceprint, against a database of previously verified user’s voiceprints to ensure the correct access and rights to information and applications as assigned by ACLD’s security systems.
According to Richard Wirth, Assistant Executive Director, ACLD selected VoxLock for its robust security and cost-effectiveness. “We needed a multi-factor identity verification solution that we could easily integrate with our existing consumer information system. VoxLock offers a great overall solution, they customized their service offering to fit our requirements, and their customer support has been great in making this a working solution. This higher level of security will help us to maintain privacy policies and greatly adds to our on-going HIPPA compliance efforts.”
“By adding voice identity verification, ACLD has demonstrated its innovative approach to enhancing security and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations,” said Siegy Adler, VoxLock’s co-founder. “VoxLock integrates easily with most healthcare and business operations applications. We see great potential for VoxLock across many industries.”
